Macaw Farms Hot Sauce Packaging
Macaw Farms is a pepper farm and hot sauce producer based in Tegucigalpa, Honduras. Founded in 2010 by environmentalists, the farm takes its name from Honduras' national bird, the majestic macaw. The goal was to create a packaging and identity system that reflects the brand’s vibrant energy and natural roots while feeling fresh and authentic.

Early Comps
After sketching many birds and layouts, I moved on to digital compositions. While these early label ideas had good foundational elements, the brand needed to be emphasized more. This gave way to the final design.
Organic Sauce
The design features minimalistic typography and icons, as well as natural colors to allude to the hot sauce colors. This simple approach effectively showcases the organic and natural features of the sauces. Kraft paper is used to seal the bottle to provide extra safety and to enhance the user experience. The final product: a clean and fun design that stands out on shelves and creates a great experience for customers.
