Estonian Banknotes (Euro Redesign)
Located in Northern Europe by the Baltic Sea, Estonia is known for its beautiful landscapes, including forests, lakes, and beaches. This concept project reimagines the European currency as unique to Estonia, drawing inspiration from the country's previous currency, the Estonian Kroon, as well as current banknotes. These notes showcase significant sights and a rich history cherished by the Estonian population.

Initial Process
The design process for these banknotes began with the 100 Euro bill. After much research and gathering inspiration, I created a list of elements to be included in the note. My initial sketches narrowed down the final composition and layout of the design.
Inspiration
Due to the geographic location of Estonia, this design was influenced a lot by Swiss design and Russian constructivism. I gathered much inspiration from these movements to create banknotes with clean typography and various geometric elements, like the photograph containers and the security features.
Colors
The colors for these notes were inspired by the previous Estonian banknotes: the Kroon. These 20th-century notes were full of colors and great details, which influenced my design choices in this project.
